Rodeo Clown Face

For SXSW, Preacher throws a big party. As we all know, any festival worth damn must have face painting. But what if instead tigers and butterflies, we painted our guests to look like rodeo clowns? Everyone loves to say this isn’t your first rodeo, but now’s the time for your first rodeo clown face.

We found a local makeup artist who was down to clown. With a gorgeous backdrop of Oregon’s famous rodeo, the Pendleton Roundup (don’t hog tie us for photoshopping it to say Preacher), we offered a specific menu of faces to choose from. No custom orders.

My favorite part. I treated it as an exercise in coming up with drag queen names.

Rodeo clown face participation grew 27.5% by the end of the party. Our Effie must have gotten lost in the mail or something.
